We believe food can become a pathway to economic participation — building skills, income, confidence and lasting independence.
Great food can create
fair chances.
Many migrant women already have the skills, resilience and entrepreneurial energy to build food businesses. What is often missing is access to professional kitchens, networks, customers and practical guidance.
Her Kitchen exists to help close that gap — while giving customers memorable culinary experiences.
Opportunities to earn income and build sustainable food businesses.
Food opens conversations and strengthens belonging.
Professional pathways, customers and paid experiences.

Meet the people
behind the idea.

Our paths crossed around a shared conviction: food can open doors to economic independence and intercultural connection. But talented cooks need the security, support and infrastructure to turn their skills into economic opportunities. We are building Her Kitchen as a practical, warm and ambitious space where culinary talent can meet real-world pathways: from early support and experimentation to paid customer opportunities.

Evita Hegmann
Co-Founder & CEO
With a background in international and development economics, project management and regulatory compliance, Evita knows how hard it can be to turn a food idea into a registered business. When she explored selling vegan Peruvian food, bureaucracy became very real. At Her Kitchen, she leads operations, finance, partnerships and compliance — building the structures and support women need to formalise and grow sustainable food businesses.
